This week’s segment features a song by the American noise rock band Health. The video for their track “We Are Water” starts off with a scene slasher fans will be quite familiar with; a woman running through the woods from a crazed brute wielding a machete. The troupe of the damsel in distress is a popular one in the horror genre but this video does a great job of subverting expectations. The combination of this brutal video with the chaotic ambiance of the music creates an experience that is both hypnotizing and memorable. WARNING: this video gets quite gruesome and gory NSFW.
